As Deputy Director for our AI Research division at Aptima, I apply my data science and theoretical physics background to build intelligent systems that support real-world decision-making across defense and enterprise domains.
I work remotely from Idaho, surrounded by the Boise foothills and mountain trails. Outside of work, you'll usually find me training for my next Strongman competition, reading Stephen King, or exploring somewhere new with my wife, Kelly.

I lead multidisciplinary R&D teams building enterprise AI, multimodal systems, and graph-driven architectures for complex, mission-critical environments. With a background in theoretical physics, I take a first-principles approach to deconstructing hard problems, translating complex research into scalable, explainable, and production-ready systems.
Lead AI research and development programs for defense and government applications. Serve as Principal Investigator on multi-year, multi-million dollar efforts, guiding cross-functional teams across AI, software, and UX disciplines.
Design and deploy machine learning, graph-based retrieval (Graph RAG), and multimodal AI systems for training, wargaming, and geospatial analysis. Delivered knowledge-graph driven retrieval systems, compound AI workflows, and LLM-enabled decision support tools.
